Students today are digital natives. Texting, social networking, on-line classes and Web 2.0 tools are part of their everyday world. The problem is, do students know how to be good digital citizens? Do they know that they cannot just copy and paste an image into a school project? Do they know how to use sound files legally? Do students know how to properly cite a digital source? In this 3 credit on-line course, participants will become familiar with digital rights, the responsibilities that come with those rights, how to model digital citizenship, how to develop good digital citizenship and the digital etiquette required for various Web 2.0 applications.
